Accruing or Advance Leave is a type of military leave that allows service members to take time off before it is fully earned, based on expected future leave accumulation.
This leave is typically granted when a service member has urgent personal needs but has not yet accumulated enough standard leave days. The advanced leave is deducted from future accruals.
Approval depends on command authorization and must meet operational requirements to ensure mission readiness is not affected.
